The CANchecked MFD28 Gen2 Multi Function Display for the Volkswagen MK6 Golf transforms a factory air vent into a fully integrated digital monitoring and diagnostics center. Designed specifically for MK6 Golf applications, the MFD28 Gen2 delivers OEM-style fitment while providing access to extensive vehicle data, performance metrics, and advanced customization features directly within the driver’s field of view.

Unlike conventional gauge solutions, the MFD28 Gen2 utilizes a high-resolution touchscreen interface that allows users to navigate through multiple pages using intuitive swipe gestures. The vehicle-specific vent assembly maintains usable airflow while seamlessly integrating the display into the interior. Through CAN bus communication and advanced manufacturer-specific protocols, the MFD28 Gen2 can access a wide range of engine, drivetrain, and diagnostic data that would otherwise require specialized diagnostic equipment.

Built for enthusiasts who demand more than basic monitoring, the MFD28 Gen2 supports custom page creation, data logging, analog sensor integration, ethanol content monitoring, performance timing functions, and CAN bus switching capabilities. Whether used on a daily-driven Golf, track-focused GTI, or heavily modified project car, the display can be configured to present the exact information most relevant to your application.

Vehicle Compatibility & Data Availability

CANchecked products communicate directly with your vehicle via the CAN Bus. As a general guideline, CAN Bus became widely available in production vehicles from approximately 2008 onwards. Compatibility and the amount of available data depend on the vehicle manufacturer, model, model year, installed control units, and software version.

Many modern vehicles provide only limited information through standard OBD diagnostics. For selected vehicles, CANchecked offers dedicated integrations that access additional vehicle data directly from internal vehicle communication networks. Available functions and parameters may vary between vehicles, even within the same model range.

Please note that not all displayed values are intended for diagnostic or safety-critical purposes. While we strive to provide accurate information, displayed data should not be relied upon as the sole source for vehicle operation, diagnostics, maintenance, tuning, or safety-related decisions.

Customers are responsible for verifying compatibility with their specific vehicle before purchase and installation.
