1. Understanding the Problem: Contaminated Cooling Systems

The cooling system in a vehicle is designed to manage engine temperature by circulating coolant through the engine and radiator. However, over time, several issues can arise:

• Rust and Corrosion: Metal components in the cooling system, such as the radiator and engine block, can corrode and produce rust particles. These particles can clog coolant passages and reduce the efficiency of heat transfer.
• Scale and Sludge: Hard water or coolant that has not been changed regularly can lead to the formation of scale and sludge. This buildup can obstruct coolant flow, reducing the systems ability to regulate engine temperature.
• Debris and Contaminants: Dust, dirt, and other debris can enter the cooling system, particularly if the system is not properly sealed. These contaminants can contribute to clogging and reduced cooling performance.
• Old or Degraded Coolant: Over time, coolant can lose its effectiveness and become acidic, which can damage the cooling system components and reduce cooling efficiency.

When the cooling system becomes contaminated, it can lead to several problems, including:

• Overheating: Reduced coolant flow and heat transfer efficiency can cause the engine to overheat, potentially leading to severe engine damage.
• Poor Heater Performance: A clogged or inefficient cooling system can affect the performance of the vehicles heater, leading to inadequate cabin heating.
• Increased Wear and Tear: Contaminants and corrosion can cause premature wear on cooling system components, leading to costly repairs or replacements.

Carlube Rad-Flush Radiator Cleaner is designed to address these issues by cleaning and restoring the cooling system, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
