GREYSCALE 08 TIRE MATTE is a tire and trim conditioner created for detailers who want clean, rich, naturally black rubbernot artificial wet-look tire shine. Its conditioning formula penetrates into the tire while acrylic film-forming technology creates a durable, wash-resistant outer layer, leaving tires with the understated appearance of fresh, properly maintained rubber.

Key Features & Benefits

Natural New-Tire Appearance Restores a rich, dark appearance without leaving behind the excessively glossy or wet finish associated with traditional tire dressings.

True Matte Finish Designed specifically for enthusiasts and professional detailers who prefer clean, OEM-style presentation over high-gloss tire shine.

Deep Rubber Conditioning Penetrates into the pores of the tire to help rehydrate and condition the rubber instead of simply sitting on top of the surface.

Acrylic Film-Forming Technology Creates a durable outer layer that helps maintain the conditioned appearance through multiple washes.

Wash-Off Resistant Unlike temporary dressings that disappear after the first wash, TIRE MATTE is engineered to withstand several wash cycles.

Clean, Refined Appearance Darkens faded-looking rubber without making the tire the visual focal point of the vehicleperfect for modern, luxury, performance, and properly restored vehicles.

How to Use

Step 1: Thoroughly clean the tire to remove dirt, road film, old tire dressing, and previously applied silicone-based products.

Step 2: Allow the tire to dry completely before applying TIRE MATTE.

Step 3: Apply a small amount of product to a clean tire dressing applicator.

Step 4: Work the product evenly into the tire sidewall, making sure to cover the textured areas and lettering for a uniform appearance.

Step 5: Allow the product to penetrate and begin forming its protective finish.

Step 6: Inspect the tire and level any excess product with the applicator or a clean microfiber towel as necessary.

Pro Tip: Tire preparation makes a huge difference with matte dressings. If an old glossy dressing is still embedded in the rubber, you won’t get the clean, uniform finish TIRE MATTE is designed to produce. Thoroughly clean the sidewall until your tire-cleaning foam remains relatively clean, allow the rubber to dry, and then apply the dressing.

Why We Love It

We love TIRE MATTE because not every properly detailed vehicle should have shiny tires. On a lot of vehicles, especially modern performance cars, luxury vehicles, and factory-correct builds, the best-looking tire is one that simply looks new. TIRE MATTE delivers that deep black, conditioned appearance without the greasy wet-look finish. More importantly, it isn’t just cosmeticthe formula penetrates the rubber while its acrylic technology creates a more durable outer layer. It’s a refreshingly different approach to tire dressing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does GREYSCALE TIRE MATTE make tires shiny?

Nothat’s the point. TIRE MATTE is specifically designed to create a natural black, new-tire appearance rather than the glossy or dripping-wet look produced by many conventional tire dressings.

Is TIRE MATTE just a cosmetic tire dressing?

No. The formula is designed to penetrate into the pores of the tire and rehydrate the rubber while acrylic film-forming technology creates a durable outer layer.

How durable is TIRE MATTE?

GREYSCALE designed the acrylic film-forming layer to resist washing and withstand multiple wash cycles. Actual longevity will depend on driving conditions, weather, tire preparation, cleaning chemicals, and washing frequency.

Do I need to clean the tires before applying it?

Yes. For the most consistent appearance and durability, remove dirt, road film, and previous tire dressings before application. Starting with clean, dry rubber allows TIRE MATTE to properly condition the surface instead of sitting over old product.

Can I use TIRE MATTE on exterior trim?

Yes. GREYSCALE positions TIRE MATTE as a tire, trim, and interior conditioner. Always test on an inconspicuous area first when working with an unfamiliar material.

Can I apply multiple coats for more shine?

TIRE MATTE is intentionally designed around a natural, low-gloss appearance rather than building a traditional wet-look shine. Apply it evenly and focus on uniform coverage instead of trying to create a heavy layer of product.

Who is TIRE MATTE best for?

It’s ideal for enthusiasts and professional detailers who prefer an understated, factory-fresh tire appearance instead of the glossy look of a conventional tire shine.
