GREYSCALE 09 GLASS+ is a tint-safe automotive glass cleaner and water repellent designed to deliver streak-free clarity while leaving behind a water-repellent micro-layer. Its high-butyl, high-alcohol formula cuts through fingerprints, oils, haze, and everyday glass contamination, while a special silane infusion helps fortify the glass and make future cleaning easier.

Key Features & Benefits

Cleans & Repels in One Step Removes contamination while simultaneously leaving behind a water-repellent micro-layer on the glass.

Streak-Free Clarity Formulated to leave automotive glass exceptionally clear without the haze and streaking that can make glass cleaning frustrating.

Tint-Safe Formula Safe for use on tinted automotive glass, making it an easy choice for both factory and professionally tinted vehicles.

High-Butyl Cleaning Power Uses strong cleaning chemistry to attack the oily films, fingerprints, grime, and residue commonly found on automotive glass.

High-Alcohol Formula Helps the product clean efficiently and finish cleanly without leaving excessive residue behind.

Silane-Infused Protection Special silane technology fortifies the glass with a water-repellent micro-layer instead of simply cleaning the surface and disappearing.

Makes Future Cleaning Easier The protective layer helps reduce the effort required during subsequent glass cleaning and maintenance.

Ideal Inside & Out Use it for routine exterior glass maintenance as well as interior fingerprints, film, and haze.

Professional Finishing Step Delivers the crisp, perfectly clean glass that separates a finished professional detail from one that’s almost done.

How to Use

Step 1: Work on cool glass whenever possible and avoid cleaning extremely hot surfaces in direct sunlight.

Step 2: Lightly mist GREYSCALE 09 GLASS+ directly onto the glass or onto a clean glass towel.

Step 3: Use the first towel to thoroughly work the product across the surface and remove fingerprints, oils, haze, and other contamination.

Step 4: Flip to a clean section of the towel or use a second dry glass towel to complete the final buff.

Step 5: Inspect the glass from multiple angles to identify any remaining streaks or residue.

Step 6: For interior glass, use the product sparingly to minimize overspray onto dashboards, displays, and surrounding interior surfaces.

Pro Tip: Use two towels when you’re chasing truly perfect glass. Let the first towel do the cleaning and contamination removal, then use a completely clean, dry towel for the final buff. On windshields, clean the interior and exterior in different directionsfor example, vertical strokes inside and horizontal strokes outside. If you spot a streak afterward, you’ll immediately know which side of the glass it’s on.

Why We Love It

We love 09 GLASS+ because glass is one of those areas where a detail can look incredible until the vehicle moves into different lighting. A glass cleaner needs to clean quickly, finish without streaks, and not create more work than it solves. GREYSCALE goes a step further by incorporating a silane-based water-repellent layer into the cleaning process. That means you’re not just getting the glass clean todayyou’re leaving it better prepared for water and future maintenance at the same time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is GREYSCALE 09 GLASS+ safe on tinted windows?

Yes. GREYSCALE specifically formulates 09 GLASS+ as a tint-safe glass cleaner, making it suitable for vehicles with tinted automotive glass.

Does 09 GLASS+ leave protection behind?

Yes. Unlike a conventional glass cleaner that is designed only to remove contamination, GLASS+ uses a special silane infusion to leave behind a water-repellent micro-layer.

Is GREYSCALE 09 GLASS+ a glass coating?

It’s better thought of as a glass cleaner with added water-repellent protection rather than a dedicated long-term glass coating. It cleans the surface while fortifying it with a protective micro-layer in the same step.

Will it help water repel from exterior glass?

Yes. Water repellency is one of the specific functions of the micro-layer GREYSCALE designed GLASS+ to leave behind.

Can I use it on the inside of my windshield?

Yes. Its cleaning ability and tint-safe formulation make it well suited for removing fingerprints, oils, and the film that commonly develops on interior automotive glass. Use the product sparingly inside the vehicle for easier streak-free finishing.

Why does automotive glass sometimes remain streaky after cleaning?

Too much product, dirty towels, oily contamination, and cleaning hot glass can all contribute to streaking. Use a modest amount of cleaner, allow one towel to remove the contamination, and finish with a second completely clean and dry glass towel.

What’s the advantage of GLASS+ over a basic glass cleaner?

A conventional glass cleaner handles the cleaning step and stops there. GLASS+ combines powerful glass cleaning with a silane-infused, water-repellent micro-layer designed to fortify the glass and make subsequent cleaning easier.

Can I use GLASS+ as my regular maintenance glass cleaner?

Yes. GREYSCALE specifically designed the protective component to make cleaning the glass easier over time, making GLASS+ well suited for regular maintenance rather than being limited to occasional use.
