1. What is Transmission Flush Additive TXF 300

The Ardeca 300ML Flushing Oil Transmission Additive is a specially formulated product used to clean and remove build-up, sludge, and varnish deposits from automatic and manual transmission systems. Its compatible with a variety of transmission types and is designed for professional-grade performance, making it suitable for use in both regular vehicles and heavy-duty applications.

This additive comes in a concentrated 300ml container, and its added directly into the existing transmission fluid before draining and replacing with new fluid. It targets and breaks down contaminants, improving transmission performance and ensuring a smoother gear-shifting experience.

2. Functions of Ardeca Flushing Oil Transmission Additive

The primary functions of the Ardeca Flushing Oil Transmission Additive include:

• Removing Deposits and Sludge: The additive effectively breaks down sludge, varnish, and other contaminants that accumulate over time within the transmission system.
• Improving Transmission Fluid Circulation: By clearing pathways in the transmission, this additive ensures that transmission fluid can circulate freely, reducing strain on the system.
• Enhancing Shifting Performance: A clean transmission operates more smoothly, resulting in easier and more precise shifting.
• Reducing Heat and Friction: Sludge and deposits increase friction, which generates heat that can lead to further transmission wear. The additive helps to remove these deposits, thereby reducing friction and heat within the system.
• Extending Transmission Lifespan: A clean, well-maintained transmission system experiences less wear, helping extend its lifespan and avoid costly repairs or replacements.

3. Benefits of Using Ardeca Flushing Oil Transmission Additive

This transmission flush additive provides numerous benefits:

• Enhanced Gear Shifting and Performance: With cleaner fluid and pathways, gear shifts become smoother and more responsive.
• Reduced Wear and Tear on Transmission Components: By removing harmful deposits, the additive prevents unnecessary wear on transmission components.
• Improved Fuel Efficiency: A smoothly operating transmission requires less power, potentially leading to better fuel economy.
• Less Overheating: Cleaner transmission fluid reduces friction, which lowers the risk of overheating, especially during heavy use or in high-performance settings.
• Better Compatibility with New Transmission Fluid: Flushing out old contaminants improves the effectiveness and longevity of new transmission fluid.

4. When to Use Transmission Flushing Additive

It is generally recommended to use a flushing oil transmission additive before changing transmission fluid as part of routine maintenance. Some specific instances when this product is beneficial include:

• When Changing Transmission Fluid: Using the additive before a fluid change ensures that the new fluid stays clean and free of contaminants.
• After a Long Period Without Maintenance: Vehicles that havent had a transmission fluid change or flush in a long time can benefit significantly, as the additive will break down hardened deposits.
• In High-Performance Vehicles or Heavy-Duty Use: Vehicles used for towing, hauling, or high-speed driving put additional strain on the transmission, leading to quicker fluid degradation and build-up.
• For Smoother Shifts in Older Transmissions: Older vehicles with higher mileage can experience improved shifting performance with regular flushing and cleaning.

5. How to Use Ardeca Flushing Oil Transmission Additive

Using Ardeca Flushing Oil Transmission Additive is straightforward, but its essential to follow the correct procedure for optimal results:

1. Prepare the Vehicle: Park the vehicle on a level surface and ensure the engine is at operating temperature.
2. Add the Additive: With the engine off, add the entire 300ml of Ardeca Flushing Oil Transmission Additive to the transmission system by pouring it directly into the transmission fluid fill port.
3. Operate the Transmission: Start the engine and, with the parking brake engaged, shift through all gears to allow the additive to circulate. This should be done for about 10-15 minutes, which will give the additive enough time to break down contaminants.
4. Drain the Old Transmission Fluid: After circulating the additive, turn off the engine and carefully drain the transmission fluid. The contaminants loosened by the additive will drain out with the old fluid.
5. Refill with New Transmission Fluid: After draining, refill the system with the recommended transmission fluid type for your vehicle.

6. Common Issues and Troubleshooting Tips

When using transmission flushing additives, here are a few issues to watch out for, along with tips for resolving them:

• Residual Additive After Draining: To ensure complete removal, consider performing a double drain if significant residue remains after the first drain.
• Persistent Transmission Problems Post-Flush: If problems like rough shifting persist after using the additive, it may indicate underlying mechanical issues that require professional inspection.
• Difficulty Adding the Additive: Some transmissions have complicated fill ports. In such cases, using a small funnel or a pump can make the addition easier.

7. The Science Behind Transmission Flush Additives

Ardecas transmission flushing oil additive works using advanced detergent and dispersant chemicals that help loosen and break down debris. Key chemical properties include:

• Detergents: These are high-strength chemicals that dissolve and remove stubborn deposits within the transmission.
• Dispersants: Dispersants in the additive help suspend the dissolved particles in the fluid, preventing them from settling again and allowing for easy removal during the fluid drain.
• Anti-Corrosive Agents: The additive includes anti-corrosive agents that prevent metal surfaces within the transmission from rusting or corroding.

These compounds are engineered to work within a limited time frame, typically during the 10-15 minutes of engine operation recommended, ensuring effective cleaning without leaving harmful residues.

8. Benefits of Regular Transmission Flushes with Additives

Incorporating transmission flushes into a regular maintenance schedule provides the following long-term benefits:

• Improved Fluid Longevity: New transmission fluid performs better and lasts longer in a clean system, reducing maintenance costs over time.
• Enhanced Vehicle Reliability: Consistent flushing prevents the accumulation of harmful deposits that can lead to costly repairs.
• Cost Savings: By prolonging the life of the transmission, flushes reduce the likelihood of expensive component replacements.

9. Environmental Impact and Disposal Considerations

Transmission additives and fluids should be disposed of responsibly, as they can be hazardous to the environment. Used fluid containing dissolved contaminants should be taken to a certified recycling facility. Avoid pouring it down drains or onto soil, as it can contaminate water sources and harm ecosystems.

10. Choosing the Right Transmission Fluid After Flushing

Its essential to select high-quality transmission fluid that meets the specifications of your vehicles manufacturer. High-performance fluids can further enhance the benefits of using Ardecas flushing additive.

11. Signs that Your Transmission Needs a Flush

Indicators that a transmission flush may be necessary include:

• Rough or Delayed Shifting: Dirty transmission fluid often leads to less responsive shifting.
• Burnt Smell from Fluid: Overheated, contaminated fluid gives off a burnt odor, which may signify the need for a flush.
• Noisy Transmission: Unusual sounds can indicate friction between worn components, often relieved by a flush and fresh fluid.
• Visible Dirt or Sludge in Fluid: Dark, opaque transmission fluid or visible sludge are strong indicators that the system needs cleaning.

12. Conclusion

Flushing Oil Transmission Additive Ardeca 300ML offers a powerful solution for maintaining and enhancing the performance of a vehicles transmission. By removing harmful contaminants, reducing friction, and ensuring smooth fluid circulation, this additive promotes the longevity and efficiency of the transmission.
